Founded in 1951 by Howard K. º£½ÇÂÒÂ× as a residential general contracting firm, º£½ÇÂÒÂ× was built on a simple but powerful foundation: honesty, integrity, and personalized service. With just two employees and a clear vision, Howard set out to establish º£½ÇÂÒÂ× as a trusted name in the industry. Two decades later, Terry º£½ÇÂÒÂ× assumed leadership as South Florida emerged as a dynamic place to live, work, and invest. Recognizing the region’s growth potential, Terry strategically shifted the company’s focus to commercial real estate. Under his leadership, º£½ÇÂÒÂ× delivered more than 48 million square feet of development, helping redefine South Florida’s landscape and solidifying the firm’s reputation as an industry leader.
Paving the Road
Anticipating the need for a fully integrated real estate platform, Terry expanded º£½ÇÂÒÂ×’ services in the 1980s to include acquisitions, architecture, financing, leasing and brokerage, and property management—establishing the company as one of the region’s few remaining full-service real estate firms.
º£½ÇÂÒÂ× pioneered large-scale, master-planned corporate parks across South Florida, including Corporate Park at Cypress Creek, Sawgrass International Corporate Park, and Northpoint Corporate Park—further cementing its expertise in complex, long-term development. The firm also played a pivotal role in shaping downtown Fort Lauderdale, delivering more than six million square feet of award-winning commercial development and helping define the city’s iconic skyline. Signature projects include Bank of America Plaza at Las Olas City Centre, 350 & 450 Las Olas Centre, Amaray Las Olas, The Main Las Olas, and Alluvion Las Olas.
Creating the Legacy
Today, º£½ÇÂÒÂ×’ projects serve as high-profile centers of business and community across Florida and the Southeast. Since opening its first Carolinas office in 2012, the company has expanded throughout the Carolinas, Tennessee, and Kentucky, delivering award-winning retail, office, and residential developments. Continued growth across the Southeast remains a key strategic priority. In support of its long-term sustainability vision, º£½ÇÂÒÂ× also launched º£½ÇÂÒÂ× Renewables in 2025, expanding the company’s platform into utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects throughout the Southwest and other U.S. markets. This strategic expansion reflects º£½ÇÂÒÂ×’ commitment to innovation, responsible development, and meeting the evolving needs of communities nationwide.
Following the passing of Terry º£½ÇÂÒÂ× in 2017, the company continues under the leadership of CEO Ken º£½ÇÂÒÂ×, representing third-generation ownership, alongside President Scott MacLaren. Together, they guide º£½ÇÂÒÂ×’ long-term vision, investment strategy, and continued growth—while honoring the legacy and values that have defined the firm for more than seven decades.
